European fans will go out of their way to see their team
According to a study conducted by Booking.com in 29 markets among more than 19,000 football fans, more than a third (37%) French fans would rather go to a game of their team in 2020 than go on holiday with their family.
The organization and booking of transgaming.orgs stays therefore occupy a high ranking in their list of priorities, and 37% of French transgaming.orgs enthusiasts say that they put money aside especially to go see their favorite team or player in person. 15 % also admit that they would spend less money to give a gift to their child or partner than to go to a high-stakes transgaming.orging event.
Sports fans turn their dreams into reality
Indeed, the survey also showed that almost two-thirds (62 %) French transgaming.orgs fans would be willing to travel to attend a transgaming.orging event so as not to miss a historic moment. Similarly, 77 % of French respondents say they would like to have a chance to experience the atmosphere of the stadium.
Among the various tournaments, the European Football ChampionshipUefa™ won a very large number of votes. In fact, more than a third (39 %) French respondents say they would like to attend at least once in their lives.
Fans really want to be there to see matches with their own eyes, and their dreams may well be fulfilled. Last month, Booking.com recorded a marked increase (up 43 %) searches for accommodation in the host cities of theUefa Euro 2020™ compared to the same period in 2019, for stays from June 12 to July 12.
Among the host cities, Bucharest, Baku and Bilbao were the most popular. Searches for these destinations have increased by more than 150 % each compared to last year.
At the time of planning their stay for theUefa Euro 2020™, British, Russian and German football fans seem to be the most organised, as they are among the main nationalities looking for accommodation in the organising cities.
