Bundesliga “News” Frankfurt sets R’ckrunden start record – TOP STORIES

by: Adam Smith

Eintracht Frankfurt has refined the dream start to the new year thanks to the double packer Timothy Chandler and Filip Kostic and set its 50-year-old lap start record in the Fueball Bundesliga. The team of coach Adi H’tter won against fear opponents FC Augsburg 5-0 (1-0) and remains unbeaten after the third victory in the fourth rack series game.

Chandler (37th/48th) comfortably put the hosts in front of 48,800 spectators. Andre Silva (55th) and Kostic (89th/90th) were able to win the eintracht, which with the first third victory against the FCA in the eight home game moved past the Gosten (26) points and climbed to ninth place with 28 Z’hlern – ten points to the start in the rack round the Hessen last entered in the season 1969/70.

At Eintracht, winter newcomer Stefan Ilsanker gave an unflining starting eleven. In addition, h’tter was right with the nomination of Chandler and the ex-Augsburger Dominik Kohr. On the other side, goalkeeper Alfred Finnbogason celebrated his long-awaited but weak starting eleven comeback after a two-time break due to a shoulder injury.

With temperatures around freezing, both teams came into the game very sluggish. As if out of nowhere, FCA top scorer Florian Niederlechner then found the v-llig free-standing Ruben Vargas, the Eintracht keeper Kevin Trapp failed (9th).

On both sides, many inaccuracies in the short pass game arose in a muddy initial phase, as well as lack of pace in the build-up to the game. Frankfurt tries again and again with long bélls or flanks from Kostic, which found no buyers.

Eintracht Frankfurt does not lread even in round two

Then it’s suddenly dangerous in front of the goal of the Goste: after an input from Evan N’Dicka instead of FCA goalkeeper Tomas Koubek on a header from Chandler (32nd) the upper hand – only moments spérter makes Chandler better after a gentle pass into the depth of Kohr, who has not found the game before, with a placed finish under the bar.

It was the starting signal fer a much more attractive final phase of the lean first H-lfte. Because the gost seer from Fuggerstadt also became active and had very good chances to equalize. Niederlechner pressed Trapp from a sharp angle, who again held the hosts against Finnbogason with a lightning reaction on the line with the break whistle (45th).

That lightning reaction succeeded after the change of sides of harmony. After Koubek headed a long-range shot from Kohr and headed the goal, the Czech national goalkeeper remained powerless at the next corner against Chandler’s placed header.

The FCA is shocked, the SGE as loose and with the preliminary decision by Silva per head after exemplary preparatory work of the strong and up-and-coming Kostic. Against missing-uschende Augsburgers, who were completely left with a booby-take, nothing burned for Frankfurt in the final phase.
