The road to UEFA Futsal EURO 2022, which will be played in the Netherlands with a new 16-team format, began with the qualifying round that took place in the last 4 days.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Poland, Albania, Hungary, Georgia, Latvia, Moldova and Norway booked a place in the group stage of the UEFA Futsal EURO 2022 qualifiers after winning their respective qualifying rounds.

Another 14 teams go to the qualifying play-offs in April and hope to join the nine group group winners: second-placed Cyprus, Armenia, Greece, San Marino, Lithuania, Germany, Denmark, Israel and Northern Macedonia in addition to the five Top teams in third place – Bulgaria, England, Turkey, Switzerland and Montenegro (who overtook Wales by the top coefficient, after both teams were on par on all other criteria, including the disciplinary budget). The draw for the play-offs will take place on 13 February.

  • The group winners directly reach the group stage of qualifying (which includes home and away matches and will be played in 2021) and find the 16 qualifying teams right in the elite round: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Finland, France, Italy, Kazakhstan, Portugal (reigning champions), Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Ukraine
  • The nine runners-up and five best thirds (not counting the results against the fourth-placed teams) enter the play-offs in April, which put the last seven places up for grabs in the qualifying round
