LASK won another point on Sunday night after a 0: 3 deficit against SK Sturm Graz. Linz benefited from a penalty and a dismissal from Juan Dominguez, who looked carrot half an hour before the end. In the final phase, Captain Stefan Hierländer also had to leave.

The Graz team looked like the sure winner after quick goals from Thorsten Röcher (4th), Stefan Hierländer (9th, / penalty) and Otar Kiteishvili (24th), a separate goal by Lukas Spendlhofer (38th) brought the team's eleven Valerie Ismael but back in the fight. Markus Wostry (45th + 2) and Joao Klauss (74th / penalty) prevented home victory. Finally, after two traffic light passes for Sturm by Juan Dominguez (61st) and Captain Stefan Hierländer (86th), the absolute turn was in the air, Peter Michorl set a free kick on the crossbar (89th).

"We had a great start, were good in the game and were unlucky to get 1-3. I will not comment anymore because we get two red cards," Thorsten Röcher said after the game Cloud, "Foul (by Dominguez, note) in midfield is never a yellow card for me."

Storm overrides LASK in the beginning

Compared to the 3-0 win in the Europa League against Sporting Lisbon, the Linz team with Philipp Wiesinger, James Holland, Marvin Potzmann, Thomas Goiginger and Klaus was missing five players in the starting XI. Even in the storm, there was a blood revitalization after the 1: 2 home against Altach in the league. Coach Nestor El Maestro left the entire offensive trio outside with Kiril Despodow, Bekim Balaj and Jakob Jantscher. But this was anything but negative.

The leaders in a 3-4-3 formation looked motivated to the tips of their hair, were aggressive and were quickly rewarded for this. Anastasios Avlonitis operated Röcher with the heel, who played the ball past goalkeeper Alexander Schlager and completed the empty goal. The Linzers nearly fought back, with a Wostry header Avlonitis saved from the line (6th place).

Otherwise, only the guests were dangerous for the time and the efficiency could hardly be surpassed. Stefan Haudum scored in a duel in the penalty area with Dominguez ball and opponent, the penalty imposed transformed Hierländer cult. LASK captain Gernot Trauner on the side, who was not baptized enough, and his entry only had to push Kiteishvili over the line. In the 31st minute was the fourth storm in the air, Schlager excelled in a Huspek conclusion.

Storm own goal as U-turn

Linzers then showed mentality and came back in the game thanks to Styria's help. Spendlhofer made his own goal, and after getting into Tetteh, he struck from five yards into his own net. Just before the break, Wostry, who happily got to the ball after a corner by Michorl, hit the goal at short range. The foundation stone for a tense second half was laid and was then exhibited.

Samuel Tetteh missed the equalization twice (49th, 63th). In the second, Graz was already redundant, because Dominguez was late for Michorl and had looked yellow for the second time. Who recorded the cards for LASK. The hosts led and rewarded with a 3: 3. After a Donkor handball in the penalty area, "Joker" Klauss kept his nerve from the penalty area.

After another traffic light card for Hierländer – after a fall on Dominik Reiter – it became even easier for the hosts. The victory in the 31st competitive game of the season was unsuccessful as Michael's free kick saved the crossbar. For the fifth-placed Grazer, it was an important point in the battle for a place in the champion group. Four laps before the division of points, the gap in seventh Austria was maintained by seven points.
