Brazilian striker Neymar has left his former club FC Barcelona ahead of the cadie. This was reported by the French news agency AFP on Friday, citing judge circles. "It is true that there is a new lawsuit brought a few weeks ago," said the source, confirming a report from the Spanish newspaper El Mundo.
Neymar (27), who switched from Barca to French series champion Paris St. Germain in 2017 for world record transfer of 222 million euros, is said to want to sue his salary of 3.2 million euros in July 2017.
Another procedure has been running between Neymar and Barcelona since September. This is a gross bonus of € 64.4 million, which Neymar was promised in 2016 when he extended his contract to 2021, and the payment is to be improved.
The Brazilian got the first part when the contract was signed. After moving to PSG a year later, the Barcelona management decided to refuse payment of the remaining premium.
Neymar now demands this amount from his former employer and sued the Catalans. Barca responded with a counterclaim and accused the player of breaking the contract. The club claims both the already paid portion of the premium back and an additional 8.5 million euros in compensation.
