Premier League: Manchester City are subject to Manchester United

 - Transgaming 1

United surprisingly won the Manchester derby 2-1 (2-0) at City and aggravated the host crisis. The Pep Guardiola team is now 14 points behind leaders Liverpool FC. United's goals were scored by Marcus Rashford (23 minutes, penalty) and Anthony Martial (29). Nicolás Otamendi provided the hosts' connection goals (85th).

Defense issues with defending champion Manchester City continue. The Citizens defensive alliance also showed serious weaknesses against United. United, who were brave and strong from the start, continued to embarrass the hosts with fast counterattacks. There was a score in the 23rd minute: Rashford was brought down by Bernardo Silva in the penalty area, the foul changed the following penalty.

City were now completely unmarked in the box. After 25 minutes, Rashford sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. 2-0 was not Rashford, but Anthony Martial. Pressed by two opponents, he hit the short corner from the edge of the sixteen meter (29). Luck for United: In stoppage time in the first place, City requested a handball from Fred's penalty – Judge Anthony Taylor erred.

The city's vortex failed

The second half offered ball possession plenty for City, but hardly worth mentioning goal approaches. Rodrigo shot just over from distance (64 & # 39;) – that's it until the final stage. There was nothing to see from the dreaded offensive swirl for the Citizens, but United's defense against the outstanding Aaron Wan-Bissaka also showed excellent performance.

A header from Otamendi, which hit a corner kick from close range (85th), caused tension. Just a minute later, Riyad Mahrez awarded the compensation.

City have already had four defeats this season – as many as the last season. The club is currently three points behind Leicester City (35 points) in third place, which however finished one game less. United is fifth with 24 points.

Investigation of allegedly racist attacks

After the meeting, Manchester City released a statement about alleged racial insults to which United player Fred was exposed in the second half. They work with the police to identify the suspects. The club has zero tolerance in such cases.
