Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool are still on a record-breaking chase in the Premier League. With thursday’s 2-0 win over Sheffield, the Reds are only the third team in English league history to be unbeaten in at least 365 days (37 games).

Before Liverpool, only Arsenal, who played 49 games in the entire 2003/04 season, and Chelsea, were without defeat in 40 games between October 2004 and November 2005.

Of their last 37 league games, the Reds have scored 32 points and averaged 2.73 points per game. Jurgen Klopp’s team have scored 89 goals in that period, with all 54 coming from Sadio Mané (25), Mohamed Salah (19) and Robert Firmino (10).

Liverpool chase RECORD of FC Bayern

Slowly but surely, Liverpool FC can also “greer” records. The most impressive record in Europe is still AC Milan, which from 1991 to 1993 remained unbeaten in a whopping 58 league games in a row and thus has an uneven record in the fenf-gross European leagues.

FC Bayern is second on the record list. The Munchener sat 53 Bundesliga games between 2013 and 2014 without going off the pitch once as a loser. Arsenal (49) and Juventus (49) are in third place.

Should Liverpool finish the 2019/20 season without defeat, the Reds would extend their streak to 55 games without defeat, outdoing Bayern.
