In a wild first round in Liverpool, former Wolfsburg-based Divoque Origi (6th, 31st), former Munich Xherdan Shaqiri (17th) and Sadio Mane (45th) set the course early for victory, though the defense came from behind Michael Keane ( 21) and Richarlison (45 + 3) didn't look good. In the second half, Mane (81st, 85th) and Moise Kean (86th) had good chances before Georginio Wijnaldum (90th) met the final result.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho suffered his first defeat as team manager for Tottenham Hotspur.
