Champions League: when and where will the draw take place?
A draw for the Champions League Round of 16 will take place on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 12 noon German time in Nyon. The drawing of the intermediate round in the Europa League follows immediately afterwards.
Champions League Round of 16: Mode
The Round of 16 in the Champions League consists of the top 16 teams in the group stage – eight first and second in the group. First place can only meet second place, it is not possible to meet a team of the same group or the same nationality. Consequently, FC Bayern Munich could not meet second-placed Group B, Tottenham Hotspur or Borussia Dortmund, who took second place in Group F.
